Line of EltaMD products was my favorite for at least 12 years. Yet this newest line like Elta MD barrier renewal complex was never used by me. It adds a lot to the line of moisturizers with spf protection from this company that I regularly used. Not only it’s an excellent moisturizer but it also makes your skin very smooth, brighter and adds some mate finish to skin. When I use this cream I only add spf and often no make up to the skin. The skin is healthy and smooth. I will certainly will be using this product in my skin routine care.

I only use this in the evenings, on nights I don’t use my Tretinoin. I like that it has some anti-aging ingredients without being too harsh. I also use the A.M. in the mornings which is a little lighter - better for layering.

Perioral Dermatitis
This product was recommended by my dermatologist. At first it really did seem to be helping the perioral dermatitis I get around my nose and mouth but as we continue to get into the colder winter months and after using it for over a month I’m unfortunately not seeing much of a difference. I also notice that I have been getting what seems to be large red pumps that feel like acne or maybe a zit will come through. The bumps hurt to the touch and then disappear as quickly as they came. You can barely see them. It’s strange! I didn’t experience anything like this with the skincare line that I was using. It’s hard to say if it’s actually repairing my skin. Perhaps it’s too early to tell!

Makes my skin burn
I was really looking forward to this product since I believe my skin barrier can use some repairing. Unfortunately this burned my skin when I put it on and the feeling stays on my skin for a bit after. I love how lightweight it feels and it does feel hydrating but it burns my skin and I feel I have to layer a more gentle and nourishing moisturizing on top of this so it seems like a waste of money to me unfortunately. I love EltaMD products so hopefully I can find a substitute daily moisturizer that works better for my skin.
