After having a chemical peel, the skin on my face started to peel and hurt every time I washed my face. Other moisturizers and face oil that I tried would relieve the redness , peeling and pain only for a couple of hours. EltaMD laser post procedure balm helped my skin to heel, and provided the relief it needed after a chemical peel. Every time I have a chemical peel I use copious amount of it for several days until my face is back to normal. It does not cause me have breakouts.

Helpful after fractional CO2
This was recommended by the dermatologist that did my CO2 procedure. It did not cause any irritation at all during the healing process, unlike a different product I used for my prior CO2. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is that I experienced a lot of pimples.

I am on the fence about this product; I bought it for my C-section scar and for light surface level scratches on my daughter’s s face—caused by my toddler. The product, I like Vaseline, it’s not very pliable and it is very, very thick and not very malleable. I don’t hate it, but I don’t love it either. I wouldn’t buy it again. I think it would be very sensitive to a newer scar because it doesn’t mold well to the skin.

Great Winter Hand Balm
I'm not sure about using this balm on my face, but love for my dry, cracked hands in winter months. Like a solid version of petroleum jelly, so a little goes a really long way. Probably great for post-procedure skin. I am glad I purchased the jar and not squeeze tube, it would be pretty hard to squeeze out I think.

I used this product after a laser treatment, and it accelerated the healing process and prevented any scaring. It is thick and messy, but it is part of the laser experience. Good occlusive layer
I bought it intended for laser but did not have one at the end, so it was left on the shelf for a long time. I tried applying as the last step in the winter dry months but it was too heavy for my combination skin. But when I first tried retinol 1.0 a few weeks ago, my face peeled like crazy and my regular moisturizer was not helping. I realized I have this jar and slathered it on my flaking face. Just one night of using it my face was so much better. After two nights of putting on this, together with some gentle massaging when I washed my face, all my flakes are gone and my fresh skin glows! It can be used at the lips also. Highly recommend to retinol users who peel. For this price, you get a large jar, which I also apply to my dry elbow, finger tips, etc. It's basically similar to Vaseline/any other petroleum jelly, but I find it less oily.
