EltaMD tinted moisturizer with sunscreen
I normally use Obagi tinted moisturizer, which is unavailable until at least December, so & I have used EltaMD before & I thought I would give it a try again. Well, I guess I know now why I haven’t ordered it again. It is very thin, and very light in color. It’s hard for me to believe it has a SPF of 41 when it is so thin. I normally don’t have to put on any additional foundation (when I use the Obagi) except for going out or times when I’m dressing up a little more than normal, but I probably will not buy EltaMD tinted moisturizer again.

I use this daily alone or I add pressed powder for more coverage. I’ve been using this for years and still haven’t found a tinted moisturizer I like better.

My favorite facial sunscreen
In the past few years, I have tried several tinted facial sunscreens. This one is my favorite. Others have said the EltaMD 46 SPF tinted sunscreen is their favorite, but I didn't like that as it makes my face shiny. This one goes on smooth, and with a finish that doesn't look odd; which would be too shiny or too matte. Since it has a tint, it is like a light foundation, and I only use a bit of under-eye concealer with it and that's it for my face makeup. I have a medium toned complexion, so the color is fine.

I love all Elta MD products. I purchased this one because it is non-irritating enough to use on sensitive skin. I fell and had a large abrasion on might left cheek. This product does not sting at all. Very light. Although it is tinted, it does leave a slightly white film, but it does eventually blend out. Am very satisfied.

This sunscreen is very gentle with good protection
I really like how gentle this sunscreen is on my sensitive skin. This sunscreen is also a little more matte than some of Elta's others which is great for me since I have rosacea and adult acne. And, this acts as a great primer with sheer coverage for the weekends and underneath my makeup both. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great sunscreen!

Great Facial Sunscreen
I love this tinted sunscreen except for one problem, and that is the reason for a 4 rather than 5 star rating. I had previously used the EltaMD UV Pure Broad-Spectrum SPF 47 on my face. It worked great for protection, but, I like the tinted version for my face now and use the other for the rest of my body. One issue I have with this particular sunscreen, though, is that I find it pills up after I apply my BB Cream and powder. I apply sunscreen after all other serums and moisturizers, and before my foundation. I think I am applying it correctly. I did not have this problem with the overall sunscreen.
