First Step In My Cleansing
I know they say to use this second, but I honestly use it as my first step in the evenings followed by another cleanser. It’s light weight and doesn’t strip the skin. My waterproof eye makeup mostly comes off with this, then my second cleanse gets the remainder. It has a slippery feel and doesn’t lather too much - one thing I had to get used to. Wet your face and hand, put small amount on the hand, add water to hand and lather as best can. Then massage for about a minute, then rinse. My face feels great after this. For someone with acne prone, aging skin with redness, this cleanser is perfect for everyday.

Pros: Leaves my face feeling clean, soft, and refreshed. Cons: I have combination skin that is also dry, so I can't use this twice a day. And, sometimes, depending on the season and my hormonal state, I have to alternate with a hydrating cleanser to avoid over-drying my skin. Also, I think it's important to remember that this functions as a type of exfoliant, so you have to be careful using toners or serums of the same type at the same time otherwise you run the risk of messing with your skin's moisture barrier.

My aesthetician always used this to clean my face before a procedure; it is so gentle on my skin while also being strong enough to dissolve my foundation. This face wash is amazing. My skin is sensitive and acne-prone, leaning a little dry in the winter. Have some dullness, dryness, and some flesh colored bumps. After one use, my skin felt refreshed and brighter. After three uses, pretty much all of the bumps and dry flakes were gone. I had to discontinue use because it has salicylic acid which is not safe in pregnancy, but I will be coming back to this as soon as it's safe again!

Worth the hype when it’s on sale!
There’s a lot of hype around this cleanser so I went into using it very skeptical. Bottom line-it’s a gorgeous product. Very lightly scented, it foams just enough to make your face feel clean, but not enough that it’s stripping. Does it work better than any number of cheaper cleansers? No, but it provides a cleansing experience that justifies it’s price tag. I’ll repurchase in the future when I can catch it on sale!
