Great for older women with lip lines
I have to put in a good word for this lip stain -- it's perfect for women like me, who have trouble with most lipsticks that "bleed" into the lip lines after application. This one stays put and looks fresh for a while. I do wish it lasted longer, but like I said, I love that it doesn't bleed into my lip lines. It defines my lips without a lip liner too -- another plus for older, sensitive lips. Great product, in my book, and I just ordered more colors!

Sticky and Pills Up
I tried this, thinking that it would be similar to the classic Jane Iredale stains that are in stick form. The classic stains are great and I have all three colors (red, peach and pink). However, the beyond matte stain is not the same. It is sticky and forms a kind of film on the lips, then peels off and pills under lip balm. I do not recommend. I would like to return it but do not think it's worth the shipping cost and hassle of repackaging it.

I love stains but most are too drying - this one is not just as the reviews said. I put it on let it dry a bit and put a 2nd coat. It stays on nicely, not forever but for very long time especially layered that way. I chose Covet and it’s a nice warm pink I was very lucky not easy to buy colors online but this was a great match. I have tried this lip stick in the shades obsession, blissed out and fascination. I was not a fan of fascination because is was slightly shimmery sheer metallic finish which is not my preference but the other two are a true matte finish very thin on the lip with good coverage. The shade obsession gives a just bitten lip look on my complexion very youthful pouty look. The color blissed out gives me a very bright , alive lip vibe but bold but too much. I love Jane Iredale purepressed base, finish powder, lip liners and many shadow options. Some lip products are good but often skimpy on amount of product. This one is too creamy to stain well and doesn't look too great in my opinion. I have better luck with products from other companies.
