Surprisingly useful!
Stipple the product on with a foundation brush. I use less foundation when this primer is applied than when I apply foundation without primer. How did I live all these decades without this product? It gives a really velvety camera ready look.

Best primer
I've tried a number of primers over the years and decided they weren't worth it. This one is. I use it over a serum and under a tinted, moisturizing sunscreen. The tinted sunscreen is a bit heavy by itself. With the Jane Iredale primer underneath, the sunscreen goes on easily and my skin tone looks natural and smooth. I've gotten compliments from friends and my dermatologist.

Wonderful Primer
Thank you LovelySkin for the sample. I tried it, liked it and because I have oily skin, I ordered the matte. When using the matte, it wasn't as beautiful as the illuminating sample that I tried. So, graciously, Lovely skin allowed me to return the matte and order the illuminating primer. I had been using a different primer before, but I do trust Jane Iredale products on my skin and so I decided I like this primer better. A little goes a long way. Even though my skin is oily, I still prefer the illuminating versus the matte. I am a 65 year young lady and this primer does an amazing job. My makeup looks smooth, no blotches, no smears, clear skin looking. Highly recommend this.

Perfect Primer
This is my favorite primer, especially for my mature skin. For me, it doubles as a moisturizer and leaves the perfect base for whatever foundation I use - liquid or pure pressed. It is light and leaves a smooth base, I’ve never had a problem with pilling when using this. Gives skin a light glow - my favorite of all the Jane Iredale primers that Jane Iredale.

I love this primer! I mix it with a little bit of my tinted spf foundation and it goes on so nicely. I blend them on my hand and apply them together. What I love is that it helps my foundation last longer. Usually in the afternoon my foundation is kinda floating around on the surface of my oily areas, but not when I use this primer.
