The only foundation for me
This is the only foundation i’ve ever found that matches my skin tone, Light Olive completion. (213). Most foundations are only warm, cool or neutral. Even if I find the rare shade that works for olive completions, it is usually too dark. This is a beautiful formula, doesn’t give me polka dot pores, soft velvety finish, not too glowy, not too matte. Worth the money, if you can get on sale.

Great foundation
I've tried so many foundations over the years and this one is one of the best. It is great for dry skin. I do find, like others, that it's best to put a thin layer, let it dry and then add another layer for fuller coverage. It feels like you are not wearing any foundation and leaves skin better than it was before using. Also, the shade I bought (213) was great for a light olive skin tone, which is almost impossible to match in other brands.

Koh Gen Do Maifanshi Aqua Foundation is definitely a high end foundation but it is absolutely worth it! Goes on like a satin dream, stays put through Texas July heat, did NOT settle into lines and wrinkles, and didn’t transfer. Looked amazing after 12+ hours wear. Medium/lighter coverage but you can amp up to fuller coverage by adding 2nd layer after 1st layer dries. Excellent for mature dry skin. You’re worth it!

The shade I ordered was too light so maybe I would like it more if I had the correct shade. It appled well and looked great when I first put it on but it didn't have much staying power at all. By the end of the day, it was completely gone. Maybe it would be better with powder but I don't like to wear powder.

Amazing for dry, sensitive or acne prone skin!
I am 47 and have dry sensitive skin that is prone to redness. This does not irritate my skin at all and I find it not drying at all. It gives light to medium coverage with a dewy glow and is especially great in the winter. During the summer I have to use the Koh Gen Do powder overtop or the foundation leaves a really dewy look which I am not a fan of. It really evens out my skin tone and just makes my face look fresh. My teenage daughter with combination skin uses this as well in the winter and it does not increase her breakouts with her acne prone skin. If her face is really broken out, there is not enough coverage to cover her pimples though. Overall a great foundation that works well with different skin types.
