Makes a great night cream.

I have been using this as a the last step in my nightly skin care routine. Works great! It contains panthenol ( a humectant that holds water to the skin) so it's best to use on slightly damp skin. Also contains dimethicone which helps seal in the moisture by creating a barrier on the skin. It does not have fragrance. It's affordable and the tube lasts for about 4-5 weeks.

Loved it!

I became interested in this product after using another brand’s cica serum. I liked it for soothing redness from taking accutane, but it was expensive considering how quickly I used it. I use and love many la Roche Posay products, so I thought this one was worth a try. I love it! It’s already lasted twice as long as the other serum and there’s still plenty left in the tube. You don’t need much at all to benefit from this product, and like everything LRP Makes, the value for the price is unbeatable.

Good for sensitive, dry, mature skin

This thick cream is perfect when used with serums. I mix my vit A serum with this scream to minimize the irritation of using vit A serum on my sensitive dry skin, without this cream, vit A serum causes stinging and peeling for me. This cream is thick without serums. It's perfect to use with hyaluronic acid serums too.

Always Keep One On-Hand!

This is my go-to for irritated skin - Whether it be razor burn, too much exfoliation, etc., I always keep a tube on-hand in case of an emergency! It’s very thick but also doesn’t break me out and I appreciate that it’s truly fragrance-free. This is an essential product, in my opinion!

Great Balm

This Balm is excellent and very moisturizing. Sometimes my dry skin just needs a little extra moisture and this worked. It works on my dry face, and I have even been using it on my hands.

Good choice for very dry skin

I started a vitamin A regimen recently. I am very slowly adding it to my skin regimen and use this sparingly when I see flaking/dry areas.

Best for barrier repair

This is my favorite product for barrier repair. I use it any time my barrier is damaged, be it from retin-a, or environmental factors. It also significantly reduces redness and post-inflammatory breakouts. Can not recommend enough.

Great for dry skin!

I really love this product. It's moisturizing without being greasy, and it helps with the dryness on my face from my prescription retinoid. Also, a little goes a long way!

Favorite for intense hydration and dry irritated skin

I am in my 50’s I use Tazorac at night and layer Cicaplast over/under. It’s amazing get no dryness from the Tazorac and wake up with perfect hydrated skin. I also sometimes use it through out the day to refresh my face...also use it like a face mask on alternate nights. It’s very versatile and goes a long way and works to calm sensitive skin.

A must for those extra dry areas

Being that I use both Retin A and Obagi's Professional C serum, I find that the area around my nose gets overly dry. Even though I use La Roche Posay's Toleraine Riche Moisturizer for very dry skin, this area needs additional care. I layer this balm over my moisturizer and even re-apply through out the day as needed (dry winter months). Highly recommend.

Dense, heavy duty soothing balm

I recently started using tretinoin. To try to prevent irritation and flakes, I've been using this at night, comparing it with a popular drugstore brand of petrolatum-based healing ointment. It is less oily/sticky than the ointment, so I generally prefer it. However, it is still a dense and heavy duty balm that makes it nighttime use only for me, layered over a separate moisturizer. It starts with an opaque white tint that disappears as I press it into the skin (because it's so dense, I blend a dab at my fingertips and press into my skin instead of trying to rub it in). I still have minor flaking that is probably inevitable with tretinoin, but I think this balm has kept my skin from getting red and irritated. When I have episodes of very extremely dry areas at the corners of my mouth and around my nose, I use this and add a layer of the petrolatum-based ointment over it.
