The real deal
I recently burned my hand and used this to help the skin heal. I had used Aquaphor but it was too greasy and I was getting it everywhere (no shade on Aquaphor - I do love it still). This was perfect - rich, thick, and absorbed well. My skin has healed without incident. I use it wherever I have a patch of dry skin.

Great for use with tretinoin
I bought this to help with my flaking, irritated skin after starting tretinoin. I apply it to my areas of irritation before my tretinoin, and it really helps heal and protect my skin. I have oily acne prone skin and this has not caused any breakouts. I also have been using it on my son's nose that is cracking and it works great.
