I started using this cleanser when the Skinceuticals Gentle Cleanser was back ordered. This one works great. It makes my skin feel smooth and hydrated. I will stick with this one as it is more affordable.

This is more of a lotion consistency. It does not lather. Nor did it remove makeup. It did leave my skin feeling hydrated after washing with it but it didn’t feel clean.

Like the pump - controls portion for teenagers
I use this after an oil cleanser, and have recently switched my teenagers to it as well. It comes in a nice big size, and the pump is great so they don't use too much. It is a gentle, effective cleanser. No smell and nothing fancy, but it works!

I bought two bottles (one for the medicine cabinet and one for the shower) of the La Roche Posay cleanser. It is very gentle, but effective to cleanse my face in the morning and at night. I love how it is not drying, but so far it is a very hydrating cleanser for my aging skin.

Best cleanser for combination 40+ skin!
Gel cleansers I used in my 20s and 30s were starting to dry out my skin, and I haven't been impressed with the other common popular hydrating cleansers people rave about. I'm a fan of La Roche-Posay so thought I would try this based on the high rating and it has not disappointed. I now use this as my main cleanser and still get the "clean" feeling I like with my combination skin, but it doesn't feel dry and tight. Love it!
