Good shadow
As sometimes happens when ordering cosmetics online, this shadow is more of a creamy yellowy vanilla where it looks to have a pink tinge I'm the picture. However, it's a very good texture and has good staying power. I'm quite fair and usually start with a light color shadow to the browbone and then a darker one for the crease or corner so this color is fine for me.

Smooth and soft eyeshadow
This eyeshadow is more costly than some other options, yet I really like the texture and colour. It’s very smooth & goes on easily; even tho a powder, it’s kind of creamy in a way. I wanted a light neutral colour that wasn’t too yellow - my favourite Matte colour from another brand, was discontinued, & the closest replacement was This Laura Mercier Matte Shadow. It works really well for that purpose; in combination with Glo Skin Beauty Eyeshadow Primer (also recommend) it covers up my slightly reddish eyelids nicely yet isn’t that noticeably “made-up”.

I am a first time Laura Mercier customer. I don't know why! The shadows are light with heavy pigment. I react to shimmer shades but the current matt shades are on trend. What I love the most is applying with finger tips. Yes, no brush is needed. As a matter of fact a brush leaves a light covering and the fingertips with the oil and warmth applies a much heavier matted shade. My next purchase will be the setting powder.
