I love the entire obagi nu-derm line especially this toner. When I have run out I have used another product until I had the money to order the obagi toner and nothing stands up to it. It is no drying and doesn't make my skin feel tight like some other toners, it makes my skin feel toned, clean and refreshed.

Once I wash my face with the foaming cleanser or the gentle cleanser I love the feel of balanced skin after I apply the toner. I do not use a cotton ball since as a few people have stated that they do not see any further residue on the cotton ball; I use the toner like a man would use after shave. Simple, clean, freshly balanced!

Unnecessary?
I like the Obagi Toner. It feels good. However, I've not one seen any missing residue show up on the cotton pad when using it because I feel the Obagi Foaming Gel already does it's job quite well. If you're using the Nu-Derm system for the first time, then I highly recommend using it during the space of time that your dermatologist assigns you to, but if you're using it on a maintenance routine, I'm not sure it's completely necessary.
