Unnecessary?
I like the Obagi Toner. It feels good. However, I've not one seen any missing residue show up on the cotton pad when using it because I feel the Obagi Foaming Gel already does it's job quite well. If you're using the Nu-Derm system for the first time, then I highly recommend using it during the space of time that your dermatologist assigns you to, but if you're using it on a maintenance routine, I'm not sure it's completely necessary.

The Obagi system is truly awesome. There will be some peelilng and shedding at first, but it is totally worth it. This toner works to restore your skins PH balance after using the cleanser. You will feel a slight tingling after applying it to your skin.
