Surprisingly DRYING

The first 2 weeks I used this lotion, I liked it enough to keep using it, but wasn’t impressed enough to want to buy it again. It goes on very smoothly, almost glides onto the skin at first but then it ends up feeling like I’m spreading water or sweat on my face. My skin did stay moisturized all day for the first 2 weeks, but then I noticed patches of red, dry skin at the corners of my mouth...that then became very flaky. I have never had this happen before. I didn’t change anything else in my skin care routine besides the lotion. I have stopped using the lotion and returned to my previous face cream, and the dryness is slowly resolving. I did a little research and found that too much hyaluronic acid can actually draw moisture out from deeper levels of the skin, thus causing irritation and dryness. I seem to be an exception to this lotion, as it seems most other people really like it. Just isn’t for me.
