Dried out my lips
I was excited to try this based on the reviews. Upon application at bedtime, the smooth silky formula felt great. In the morning, my lips felt dry. After a few nights use, my lips were peeling, cracked and red. The description does indicate mild exfoliation but this was way too much for my lips. It was the opposite of "repair". I returned it.

I use this on my lips at night, it’s a cream. It lasts through the night and my lips are moisturized. Will continue to use and see if it continues to work when it’s really cold and heat is on all the time. It’s still warm in Texas and find my lips get really chapped when it’s really cold. I live in a place where the weather is about 65*-70* year round. I’m not in the sun often, I work indoors M-F. I continue to have dry lips even after using this twice daily for about 1.5 weeks. I have a problem with very dry lips all year round. SkinCeuticals Lip Repair Treatment is one of my favorites. You only need a very tiny amount per application. It is not greasy and lipstick goes over it easily. If I use diligently, I believe it helps prevent outbreaks of cold sores for me. I keep one in several different places- car, my purse, bathroom etc. Highly recommend!

This moist but non-gooey treatment really does repair lip tissue. Change of season can be especially drying for lips, and this product heals. Based on that alone, this product would earn 5 stars. However, the pump does not pump out the product evenly, indicating the container may not be completely filled, which is disappointing as this product is not inexpensive.

A new favorite
This has worked magic for my lips. I was having a flare of eczema on my upper lip and it got infected. Once the infection was cleared up, it still was not getting better and was still very painful. The skin above the upper lip was very inflamed from the underlying eczema and the lips themselves were flaking, peeling, swollen, painful and dry. I was miserable. I finally got the eczema itself under control with the meds but my lips were still inflamed. I tried this in desperation and am stunned at how well it worked and how much it has helped me. This is my new "go to" lip therapy. I have been using it on my lips themselves and the upper lip now that the eczema has settled down.

I have severe dry mouth due to some meds I take. That causes very chapped lips. I try anything. This product isn't a thick balm. It is a thin penetrating cream without really any scent. At first, I thought it wasn't going to do anything because it was so thin. But, after using it for 2-3 days, my lips looked healthy again. They weren't peeling or flaking. The corners weren't sore. They felt normal. I use this when I do my face moisturizer, every day, twice a day. If I have a day or two that are bad, I'll use it an extra time. It keeps my lips healthy, so that I can use cute lip balms or lip oils.
