I was going to buy the B5 hyaluronic acid serum after receiving a sample but bought this one after seeing this on the website. Wish I had gone with the B5 instead. First, this is not lightweight at all. The B5 soaks immediately into my skin but this one just feels like I have a sticky layer on top so I could only use this at night. Second, I just did not notice that it did anything. Didn't moisturize, didn't plump, didn't even marginally reduce the appearance of wrinkles or lines. For the price, I expected at least a nice texture, especially if it's not going to produce any actual results. This had a yucky texture on top of producing no results.

Not a big fan of this serum. It gets a smell quickly after opening it. It also gets thicker and then piles up when you apply it to your skin therefore not being absorbed very well.

I added this to my skin routine that I’ve been using for years, but I have noticed some break outs, and it’s the huge hurtful pimples. Full size formulation different than sample? not sure...
I ordered this after trying a sample size which I loved and was excited about. however, I've bene using the full size for a couple of weeks and am seeing raw, red, itchy bumps around the base of my nose and strange whit-ish/flesh colored bumps on my forehead. when I tried the sample, I felt hydration right away and had no strange reactions to my very sensitive skin and was excited to order it when I had the budget. the only thing different about my skincare / habits is this new bottle. somehow it just is causing a reaction on my skin. the ingredients list are identical between the sample and the bottle I purchased. I've contacted customer service for return, but it looks like I have to pay the return shipping, even if they approve my return. sorely disappointed that it made my skin worse/caused pain... which Is the opposite of what I'd hoped for.

Not as effective as other SkinCeuticals products
I knew the bottle was dark because is evident from all the photos. What I didn't realized until I had the serum in my hands was that the product itself is also a very dark "purple" shade gel. This makes it difficult to keep track of how much serum is left inside the bottle. As you may imagine I didn't want to place this expensive facial treatment directly under a bright lamp or flashlight to double check if I was running out of it. I understand and appreciate that SkinCeuticals uses glass bottles and that some of those are an amber-dark shade to protect products' contents. What I can't believe is that with all the technology available nowadays the company can't make the serum a lighter color or less viscose to help customers to be aware of the amount they have left. I also thought it was a "runny" kind of gel. I was completely wrong as the gel is jelly like which made me use the whole bottle in half the amount of time I generally use all other products. In addition, the bottle has a fixed rubber/plastic internal "ring" that holds the droplet. (I've owned many SkinCeuticals products over the last 20 years and had never seen that kind of internal holder.) This fixed "ring" makes it very hard to get the product out of the bottle when you are nearing the end of the serum. I expect to use very drop of a 100+ dollars serum, therefore this was very inconvenient. Lastly, my skin didn't have a substantial improvement as with other products from this brand. I used it on a daily basis without any change in my lifestyle routine. I can't recommend it and hope the formula is improved. If not I will not buy it again.

Rolls off of face
I have this product and have used it often but after applying it and another product over it, it balls up on your face and rolls off. Doesn't seem right to me that it could be effective.

Honestly, I bought this based on the reviews and skinceuticals' stellar reputation, but this just wasn't it for me. I used the entire bottle and didn't really see a difference in my skin. Hyaluronic acid is everywhere today and I believe there are cheaper, more effective options out there. For the price I just expected a little more.

I have used other HA Serums and they were fine. I researched on the internet which one was 'the best'. It said this one so I tried it. It was...OK. The main complaint I have is once applied it made anything else I put on (like make up) turn grainy on the skin and roll off! Never had this happen. I then stopped using this to see if it was the culprit and...it was. No more grainy roll off when I went back to the other HA Serum I used. Will not purchase again.
