Hydrating B5 Hyaluronic Acid Gel Serum hydrates well
I purchased SkinCeuticals Hydrating B5 Hyaluronic Acid Gel Serum based on trying a sample I had received. I like the serum, which goes on smoothly and is not sticky. I can put makeup on top of it without a problem. I rated it 4 stars because I find that although it initially does a good job on some of my challenge areas, I have to re-apply it mid day to keep the hydration refreshed. This could be because I live in an extremely dry climate, though, and my skin is very dry.

Interesting enough I bought this serum looking for a little more hydration for my skin after moving from a humid climate to a dry climate. Needless to say this has become a new must have in my skin care collection. So glad I tried this serum.

Holy grail hydration
I've been using this product for over a decade. Every time I stray for something lower cost, I find the results aren't as good and come right back to this product. It is the best hyaluronic product out there. So now I no longer stray; this is one product that is here to stay.

It’s a good serum but for the price I expected better. No pilling with other products/ makeup which is great, but I will probably return to PCA’s hydrating serum which seems to deliver better hydration for me.

I liked the texture and the formula, no pilling with other products. I didn't notice a huge difference either way. I'll probably go with a less expensive dupe or other type of hydrating serum but I did enjoy using the product. Layering CE Ferulic, a hydrating serum, my own oil blend, then eye cream and moisture lotion or shea (nilotica only), sunscreen in day time is my core routine. -Former makeup artist/licensed Esthetician.
