Very strong
I was looking for something to add to my skincuticles routine to help with sun spots and this sounded great in all the reviews however it really dries out the skin and made my face very red and itchy . Maybe I’ll try using very little and every 2 to 3 days

Smell is off putting
I am a fan of the phloretin serum. I decided to try to gel because it would be easier to travel with in a metal pump canister. It is easier to apply as it doesn’t dry as quickly as the serum. Unfortunately I find the smell unpleasant. It’s almost a smoky, firepit odor that is strong. The serum also has an odor but milder than the gel. The upside of the gel is that the canister is opaque which probably helps preserve it. But I’m going back to the serum when I’m done with this.

great product. i have oily skin, so I decided on this over the serum. I used the serum for a year or two, and was glad to have this. The negative, is the pump is awful. It is leaking around the base of it so I have to swipe off the product from the tip and the base.
