Dry Consistency and Awkward Tube Dispenser
Disappointed that this product (1) does not spread easily (consistency too dry) and (2) comes is a tube container that is somewhat awkward for dispensing. I have used Retin A (prescription) and retinol products for years and prefer SkinCeuticals Retinol 1.0 because it’s easier to spread and comes packaged in a more user-friendly dispenser.

’Skinceuticals seems to be a good skincare brand but this retinol made my face look bright red. I had pre-conditioned my skin with a lower retinol cream prior to using this 1% concentrate. My reaction started approximately after 5 days and I used it only before bedtime. The viscosity of the cream is light and it absorbed quickly.’ I give it a 2 star.

I actually went to the Dr and got prescription RETIN A, which turned out to be very harsh. I have used this particular brand and level of RETINAL and it is amazing. I use it with the Obagi Exoderm 5 and it does not take much, but is very effective. I love it, and will continue to use it.

This is a nice product if you can’t get a prescription for tretinoin. It worked nicely. Nightly use renewed my skin and revealed smoother skin texture. I do think tretinoin works a little better but I will definitely keep this on hand for use when my prescription runs out!

I’ve used several retinols in the even including SkinCeuticals .5 and this is by far the best. I saw a difference in skin texture within a few weeks of regular use. My skin peeled at first but I slowed down to every 3rd day and worked my way up to daily and it’s been great.
