SkinMedica sunscreen
I currently use and have used SkinMedica products. And since I use a sunscreen every day I was happy to give this a try. I am 65 and have no major skin issues other than a little sun damage and the sag and wrinkles that accompany it. So I try to be diligent with the sunscreen. I start off with primer with sunscreen add a little concealer for under eye bags and redness then use this tinted sunscreen in lieu of foundation and follow with a small dusting of powder sunscreen. Pros - good for you sunscreen, smooth comfortable nice amount of tint. Gives face a dewy glow. Cons - not waterproof so when sweating in the sun it did get in my eyes and sting one time, it can transfer onto clothes etc and maybe a little too dewy for my skin in the summer. My skin is combo so if you are drier it would be perfect. Will probably use until summer and then switch to a waterproof sunscreen.

I can't believe how many years it took me to find this amazing product. I have extremely fair (with cool undertones) and sensitive, acne-prone skin. I take sunscreen very seriously and wear it every day under makeup or alone. I don't leave the house without it, but most sunscreens don't hold up in hot weather or under makeup. I've compromised and hated everything I've ever used, and I've tried everything on the market. This blows all other sunscreens out of the water, including highly rated products from Elta MD, SkinCeuticals, Obagi, etc. Take my word for it, nothing competes with this stuff. The color is gorgeous. It doesn't smell like sunscreen. It dries after 10 minutes and goes under makeup FLAWLESSLY. It's unbelievable. I highly recommend giving it a try. I hope they never stop making this stuff and will be buying in bulk just in case. Also, it's fantastic that you can earn and use your Brilliant Distinctions points. LovelySkin has the best prices out there for SkinMedica, and this product is no exception.

Great sunscreen
Goes on well without piling that I get with other sunscreens. Alternate between SkinMedica and Skinceuticals tinted sunscreen. Wouldn’t be without as I ALWAYS wear sunscreen, not something to skimp on.

Can cause irritation
I’ve only used this tinted sunscreen for 4 days, and by the 3rd day, I noticed my skin was breaking out in small rashes. I wasn’t sure it was from the sunscreen, so I paused from using it, and a couple days later reintroduced it back. Once I used it, the rashes reappeared again. As far as coverage, it’s a very sheer tint, it doesn’t blur or cover any spots on your face. But, it does have a lovely thin texture. It doesn’t suffocate your pores.

I purchased SkinMedica Essential Defense Mineral Shield Broad Spectrum SPF 32 - Tinted for a spring break trip to Mexico. I applied this sunscreen multiple times daily on my face, neck and chest. It provided great coverage without being oily/greasy. It absorbs nicely and gives you a nice tint while providing excellent sun protection. I will continue to use this product and will definitely buy it again.

This is one of my favorite sunscreens ever! I live in S. Florida so sunscreen is a must! Have tried many and this is my favorite. It’s very light on your skin and has a subtle tint that I imagine would work for anyone with light to medium skin tones.

The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because I don’t like how it’s matte. I prefer it a little greasier, so my makeup goes on easy. But as I use the tinted one, it doesn’t agree with my foundation shade. I must say it protects skin well though, but I am medium dark skin and I didn’t like how it looks on my skin. I prefer EltaMD all the way.

Best SPF For Sensitive Skin
I use this tinted SPF every day. It's just enough to blur small imperfections and wear alone on "no make up" days. I am not someone with only "small" imperfections, so I need fuller coverage on most occasions. What I love about the SkinMedica Mineral Shield is that it is great under my foundation as well. The best part of all is that I can apply it directly over my eyes (which need SPF too!) and I have no reaction at all. Typically, sunscreen in or even near my eyes causing burning and watering, but this does not cause either. It's fantastic.

It is so hard as an African American to find a mineral sunscreen that doesn't leave a cast. Although this one is tinted, it does leave a slight cast. I wish folks would cater to us as well.
