Perfect starter retinol for me
I switched from a prescription tretinoin .06% to this and it was a great change. The previous one dehydrated my skin so badly and sensitized it to every other ingredient. Plus, it really didn't do much for my acne. This has done much better for my skin and I worked up from using it every other day to every day. Plus I like how this has more ingredients than JUST retinol in it.

I love skin medica .050 retinol complex. After using the ..025 retinol complex I decided to try the .050 strength. My skin was already good so I was surprised in how much improvement I noticed in the smoothness and overall texture in my skin. It was also tighter and brighter. So glad I decided to go up on the strength. I have tried other retinols but this is the best.

I had called LovelySkin and talked to Customer Care to inquire what Retinol product I should purchase that would be good for my skin. I previously used Prescription Tretinoin about 6 years ago for a short time. The woman I spoke to at LovelySkin was very helpful in explaining the differences in strength and the product brand. She said to start out with SkinMedica 0.5 and move up the strength gradually. I do love the SkinMedica brand and this was the right strength to start out with. My skin actually feels smoother, so I will definitely purchase the 1.0 formula next time. I appreciate all the knowledge that the employees have with skincare products. An Excellent Non-prescription Retinol
Even compared with other brands' 1.0 retinols, this is potent stuff! I used Skinmedica's Retinol Complex 0.5 by itself til I was half empty with the lovely airless pump, but now that I've recently begun a tretinoin regimen, I use it one night, followed by 2 nights of tret, followed by a night of just hydrating skin care, followed by three nights of different acids. This has been a remarkable routine for my skin, thanks in part to this great product. Even when I was using this as my only retinoid, my texture thickened and firmed. It takes time, but I was, and am, pleased with the changes it has brought on.
