No better or worse than other curl shampoos
I used Virtue products for about a year and liked this shampoo. I've since transitioned to another salon-quality product line and haven't noticed a difference. My hair wasn't damaged when I started using the Virtue, so maybe that's why I didn't notice a difference.

I love the Virtue curl shampoo, conditioner, and whip (haven’t tried the mousse yet.) I have been searching for products that don’t weigh down my hair and leave it flat, limp, and dirty by day 2. These products are great and maybe even better than my long gone favorite. They smell terrific, they don’t weigh my hair down at all and my hair still feels and looks clean on day 4 with volume and curl. Why are they better? There is no crunch with the whip. At all. Just soft curls that move, smell good, and feel soft for days.

Made my hair dull and dry, with little curl
This made my hair so soft almost all my curls except for a few corkscrews turned into waves, which I found very strange and not at all what I wanted or expected. It also made my hair look dull, as if it were dirty. I tried it twice, and whether I used it with Virtue's matching conditioner or not it created with the same result. Very disappointing. I'll be tossing it out.

Virtue Curl Shampoo
Have really enjoyed this so much. Was so curious about this line and ordered just the shampoo. Based on how well this did on my hair , I'd like to order the conditioner and possibly some of the styling products as well. I do have a little gray and color only the roots. This has caused some dryness. My hair tends to be dry anyhow. I just turned 51 and although my hair overall tended to be more on the oily side, over the years it started to get dry. I have very thick , curly hair and a lot of it and do try to use better products and usually tend to go with more natural products. I also like to change a lot of what I use, only sticking with core things that my hair never gets tired of. Anyhow, this was very gentle on my dry hair. It did not make my hair frizzy and after shampooing with this shampoo, my hair felt very soft and clean. I'm looking forward to trying the conditioner and other products from Virtue.
