Fall Runway Waves Hair Tutorial

Begin with the CHI AIR EXPERT Classic Tourmaline Ceramic 3-in-1 Styling Iron. This innovative iron can be used to straighten, wave or curl hair while the tourmaline plates create negative ions to fight frizz and tame fly-away’s.

Next, section off hair. Each section should be about 2-3 inches to create a more “undone” look. Prime strands with the L’Oreal Professionnel Vitamino Color A-OX 10-in-1 Perfecting Multipurpose Spray to prevent heat damage and protect color from the sun! This shine-enhancing spray nourishes strands with panthenol while preventing breakage and frizz.

Then, choose a section of hair that is no wider than the width of the iron (about 1 inch). Wrap the hair around the iron and hold for approximately 10 seconds. Once removed, lightly tug at the end of the strand to loosen up the curl. Alternate directions of curl to add texture and volume to the look.

When all curls have been completed, wait until hair is cool to the touch. Select a pick, wide-toothed comb or your fingers and lightly brush through hair, pinching at the top of each section to prevent volume loss.

To give the look a final bump, choose a large section of hair at the crown of the head. With a fine-toothed comb, push hair down in a round motion (start about three inches from the root). Gently comb hair back into place to remove any frizz or fly-away’s. If desired, finish with a texture spray to add additional movement and texture.
