I'm pretty sure the castor oil in this broke me out. It didn't help with oil control for me. Every time I used it, large red acne bumps appeared all over my face by the next day, and that happened years ago with an acne serum containing castor oil. I thought I'd give it a try since it got such great reviews, and castor oil can be helpful for oily/acne skin. This did not work for me, but it is worth a try, especially if other acne toners are too strong.

I have mature, sensitive, reactive skin and have never been a fan of La Roche Posay because a lot of their products contain coco-betaine, alcohol denatured or some other ingredient I have reacted to. I also am not a fan of hyaluronic acid. Before I purchase a product, I look up the ingredients to find their comedogenic and irritancy scores. After doing all this, I was still reluctant to buy this product but, since Lovely Skin has an excellent return policy, I decided to give it a try. I wanted a moisturizer with a matte finish that I could wear under foundation and this was the only product I found that had a matte finish and met all my ingredient criteria. I am extremely happy with this product as it moisturizes well and does not cause my silicone-based foundation to separate. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the pump because if you press down too hard, it pumps out too much product. This is not a deal breaker; I just try to be more cognizant when pressing on the pump.
