I have tried every retinol product out there for over 40 years starting with prescription retinoids for acne - but they were always harsh and even worse later on to my rosacea face. Tried high end brands - too heavy, oily, or had too many excess ingredients not good for sensitive skin. Many not effective on discoloration or wrinkles or pores etc. Obagi 1.0 IS DIFFERENT!! Best in class. Very impressed and delighted to be saved by the bell at 72.

Hardly use now but was key during some breakouts that lasted a bit long. Product was a recommendation from my esthetician. … more

I really wanted to like this serum based on the great reviews but sadly it’s going back. I used it 3 times before my skin developed a severe allergic reaction, most likely due to the fragrance. The smell is extremely strong and as soon as I put it on, I could tell my skin didn’t like it. After the second day I woke up with my skin on my neck and face feeling like sandpaper and covered in tiny little bumps and redness. I had to use topical cortisone as well as take an oral pill and it’s still not completely gone after 4 days. Can’t understand why a medical grade product that cost so much would have this horrible ingredient in it

I am 61 yrs old and have loss of collagen around my mouth from menopause and nearby cheek area as well as enlarged pores on my chin. After using this product for just 1 1/2 weeks I can see a difference. Lines are already becoming less visible, pores are improving, and best of all my makeup is not settling in these areas as much. I have very sensitive skin so I do use this sparingly and with lots of moisturizer and growth factor serum. Big improvement in my skin though whereas before starting this product, I saw no improvement with just increased hydration.

Not as effective as the hydroquinone formula but good enough to purchase again. Right now, I’m trying the SkinMedica one … more
