I have been using Olaplex No. 4 Shampoo for years and loved it. I saw that Olaplex had a new product, Curl Hydrating Shampoo, so it seemed like a natural choice to try. It is not. After shampooing and rinsing, my hair always felt matted, and I REALLY needed a conditioner or a masque. I just ordered my old shampoo and conditioner standbys, which I love and are more hydrating. Maybe the company is testing this new product?

I decided to try this curl-defining gel, and it's not slick and liquidy, but thick and heavy. I ended up adding a little water to thin it out, as it creates a lot of crunch that is hard to pat out with the Olaplex oil (a truly great hair oil product.) Not for me.
