Nice tint and great spf
Love the higher spf on this tinted face sunscreen. It’s a little thicker than some but blends and works in just fine. Wasn’t sure if it would react with my sensitive skin since it’s not solely a mineral sunscreen but no problem noted!

Great coverage
First time using Elta but I love it! The tint works great with my shade of skin, which is a miracle because I'm pretty fair skinned. Plus the high spf provides me with great coverage amidst the brutal Hawaiian sun. I did notice that I break out a little if I sweat while wearing it, so I need to make sure to wash my face and reapply whenever I'm active. Other than that, zero complaints. It melts right into the skin like buttah'!

Not a good substitute for original product
The website suggested the eltaMD UV AOX Elements as a substitute for the discontinued eltaMD UV Elements Broad Spectrum SPF 44 Tinted Moisturizer. The new product does not apply as nicely and the tint is different, making me look jaundiced. I plan on returning this product and hope to find a better replacement for the Broad Spectrum SPF 44 Tinted Moisturizer.

Disappointed – Bring Back the Original!
I'm really disappointed with the reformulated sunscreen. The original UV Elements was far superior and used to be my favorite. However, this new version, AOX Elements, stings my face and is not comfortable to wear. It's not matte at all—it's greasy and melts off in warm weather, even getting into my eyes. It also rubs off easily if anything touches it, so avoid wearing nice clothes or leaving your hair down, as it will stick to your face. I really hope they bring back the old formula. Until then, I'll be searching for a new sunscreen.

Too orange but nice coverage
I have a mixed review. I love Elta been using for years. I love the clear but has been pilling when I apply make up. Something changed. I tried a sample of AOX. I really like the creamy texture and coverage. Sadly I can't wear it alone because the tone is too orange. However it doesn't pill when I apply my foundation so it's a better choice. Would love if Elta would use the tone in their tinted sunscreen. That one is just too sheer.

So this stuff is great! A nice color on my white skin. May be a little whitecast for darker skin tones. Glides on sooo smooth and works well under foundation.. BUT if you touch your face a lot.. I wouldn't say this the best for you as it moves on touch. if you scratch your face you move the lotion.. especially if your like me and put it on thick to cover melasma. But feels great, doesn't break me out and great coverage for melasma

Bring back the Elements!!
I had high hopes for the new rendition, but it doesn’t live up to the old UV Elements sunscreen. This left my skin excessively oily and shiny. It oxidized incredibly quickly on my skin and basically looked like it wore off after about 15 minutes. It’s a complete pass for me. There are hundreds of other brands/formulas out there for less money that perform better.

Ideal for active lifestyle
This is my daily sunscreen and I highly recommend it. I love the tint because it evens out my skin without makeup and makes me feel more comfortable out in public than I'd feel with a transparent sunscreen. It is thick and odorless which I like a lot because I have mature and dry skin. I try to walk outdoor and exercise daily so I count on my sunscreen for protection. I recently spent a week in the hot caribbean and did not get any sunburn at all. On most days I only applied this to my face one time and as long as I didn't wet my face, the protection seemed to last all day. It was extremely hot and the sunscreen held up with sweating.

Good product but tint wasn't right for me
The product itself is good. No icky sticky feeling and the creamy texture makes it easy to apply and achieve good coverage but the tint wasn't right for me. It's too orange and not natural looking. I'm using EltaMD sheer SPF50 instead which doesn't have a tint.

I have tried many different brands of sunscreen and this is my favorite. With the tint I don’t even need to use foundation anymore and it doesn’t pill like some other brands I have tried. It works well for my acne prone skin.

It's surprising that this original Elements was discounted, as it was so popular! This one is way too dark, a bit thick and greasy. Might work for someone, but if you're expecting an improvement on the original Elements formula, this isn't it. Love EltaMD though.
