Good sunscreen but not for roseaca
I accidentally ordered this instead of my usual 46 SPF tinted and unfortunately, it exacerbated my rosacea. Overall, it seems like a great sunscreen goes on clear seems moisturizing, but I do not recommend for skin redness.

Top sunscreen in our household!
Excellent protection, goes on smoothly with no white residue, and non-irritating – meaning no stinging eyes and doesn’t make me break out. I use EltaMD sunscreens year-round: UV Daily when my skin wants a little extra moisture, and UV Clear in the warmer months. We buy multiple at a time to make sure we never run out.

Really works!
My dermatologist recommended eltaMD UV Daily and I couldn’t be more satisfied! I use the tinted version as my sunscreen and foundation! It’s natural looking and that’s super important to me. Plus it stood up to the Hawaiian sun all day long on a recent vacation, but I use it everyday year round. My skin has never looked better and I’m almost 72! Highly recommend for all ages!

Good Daily Sunscreen
Overall this is a good daily sunscreen. It is not as matte as I had hoped it would be (I had got a sample of it and the sample was matte), so I remain a little shiny. But it is more matte than other sunscreens I have used. It doesn't leave any white film and blends well. Overall a good sunscreen for the price.

Sun protection and moisturizing
I have been using this EltaMD sunscreen/moisturizer for five years. I love the effectiveness of the sunscreen (I have used it in the sun in very hot places!) and it is also really moisturizing. It has hyaluronic acid in the formulation which I consider a plus, but it does leave skin looking shiny. Normally I would wear foundation on top of it. I really like the dual benefits of moisture and sun protection!

Skin reacted very poorly
First, this review is based on my very individual experience, but if you also have super sensitive skin, take it with a grain of salt. The formula feels great and absorbs well. I want to love it, however, my skin does NOT. I have sensitive skin and rosacea and bought this on recommendation of my dermatologist. I used this while on vacation for 4 days, and by the last day I noticed my face was redder and more sensitive feeling than usual. I also had a very angry, scaly spot on my neck. It wrecked my barrier. I also want to note I was using EltaMD sport sunscreen for my body and experienced a similar reaction. Very itchy and lots of bumps on my arms, shoulders, and thighs. As a sunblock, full marks. 0 burning for my very fair-skinned self in Dominican Republic. I'm going back to a different brand, my tried and true.

The EltaMD UV Daily Broad Spectrum SPF40 moisturizer is part of my daily skincare ritual in either clear or tinted. Living in Colorado, both moisturizer and sunscreen are essential and I have tried them all. Hands down Elta is exceptional at moisturizing my middle-aged skin and protecting my face from the sun.
