A very good sunscreen if you have combo skin
I have been using Elta MD's UV Shield sunscreen on my face for many years and I loved it. I felt that it was the perfect sunscreen. Unfortunately, they discontinued it and said that this sunscreen, UV Sheer, was the closest as a replacement. I liked the UV Sheer however, it made the skin on my lower face a bit dry and red so I'm going to have to find another replacement. If you have oily skin, I think you would like this a lot. It feels very lightweight, gives a semi-matte finish without looking flat and evens out the skin tone slightly.

EltaMD UV sheer face and body sunscreen
This is my favorite sunscreen for my face and my hairline part as it is not greasy and has no white cast. However, when I travel by plane and don't check a bag, it is hard to fit in a ziploc bag with other products, as the bottle is so tall and the top corners of the bottle are sharp(cut right thru the ziploc bag). I know there is a 1.7 oz version but this is not enough for a beach trip.

Good Body SPF
Very much like the texture of this SPF, seem to have little to no white cast and absorbs into the skin instantly. Only use it on the body as this brand's tinted SPFs that I also purchased caused me to break out.

Really good but...
This is a really good good sunscreen but it does leave a white cast on the skin regardless of how much you rub it in. If you don't mind that, it doesn't irritate the skin or burn your eyes. Great sun protection.

It has a watery texture and stings if it gets near my eyes. It seems to work well, but I don't like to use it on my face because of the eye stinging that has happened a lot.

It’s difficult to find an untinted sunscreen that does not leave a white cast if you prefer a physical rather than a chemical sunscreen. This is as good as I have found and when I put makeup over it, it looks great!

Love, but…
I love this sunscreen, but it does pill a little. However, I have mature, dry highly reactive skin and surprisingly I can use this sunscreen without any problem! It goes on smoothly. It leaves no white cast on and soaks in rather quickly. I was so pleased, until it pilled. I will still use. It’s also great on hands.

Great lightweight sunscreen
This is a great, lightweight sunscreen - it is very easy to apply. The sunscreen I received had an expiration date only 9 months out, so keep that in mind when ordering (don't stock up too much!)

No Lasting Whitecast - Does Have a Little Shine
The untinted did not leave a lasting whitecast (disappears within about 5 minutes). Not a thick sunscreen and applies smooth and easy. Very light shine, but there is a shine. I personally don't like any shine so this is not my go-to facial sunscreen, but if you like a slight shine this might work well for you.

Nice sunscreen
I purchased the UV SHEER sunscreen because I really wanted a very light weight sunscreen. I really like that it is unscented, good SPF protection (50) and doesn’t have a lot of ingredients in it because I have very sensitive skin. I used to use the UV CLEAR but had to find a different one when my skin became more sensitive. I usually choose sunscreens that are chemical free but they tend to be a little thicker because of the zinc. I only wish this one wasn’t water-resistant. So far it hasn’t made me break out but acne prone skin usually does better with sunscreens that aren’t water-resistant. I have dry, sensitive skin that still breaks out at times. I think this sunscreen would be good for many skin types, especially oily because it is so thin and absorbs in easy and isn’t greasy at all. It was a good pick for me and I have a super hard time finding the right sunscreen.

Good sunscreen for body
I bought this for face and body after reading how "sheer" it was and watching the LovelySkin Skinceuticals video. It is fairly lightweight and rubs in pretty easily. But like most all of the Elta sunscreens, I find it gives a bit of a white cast, especially with subsequent applications. It is not greasy though, so I do like that. I think I will use it just as a body sunscreen and go back to the Elta UV 46 daily untainted for my face, which does not seem to leave a whitish cast for me. I was hoping to use just one sunscreen for all, but will keep two tubes, one for face and one for body.

Nice product, but I feel better about using a chemical free sunscreen
I bought this to use on my hands, chest and neck that are more exposed in the summer months. While this product has zinc oxide, it also has chemicals (which generally I try to avoid). Therefore it is thinner and easier to apply, without the whiteish cast. All very nice, I am glad I tried it and will use the tube. But I will likely go back to UV Active to avoid the chemicals, and just deal with the less appealing aspects of the chemical-free sunscreen.

Great product/
I eliminated one star because the tube design has changed. I liked the "old" tube of just flipping the top and you were ready to dispense the sunscreen. You have to unscrew the top to use, which is not as conenient as the previous top. I have been using Elta MD sunscreen for years and believe it to be a great product to block the sun. It never feels greasy and can be used under make-up.
