Weird texture, weird appearance
I’ve been looking for a good, tinted spf lip balm for a while. Bought this based on the largely positive reviews. Unfortunately, I must agree with those who didn’t like it. This lip balm is neither sheer nor opaque - it has a somewhat gritty texture during application, feels chalky shortly after, and the color settles into the lines of your lips within 10 min. Additional layers/applications just makes it look worse. I’ll probably go back to drugstore lip balm over light layer of well blotted lipstick. Not as convenient, but looks a 100 times better.

This "balm" is very dry going on and does not moisturize your lips at all. And, it smells like lemon furniture polish. The sheer color along with SPF is nice for weekend-outdoor wear, but the dryness and smell make it a no-go for me. I will try something else.

Unlike the many five star reviews this product received, I really can't give it much more than one. The color is practically non existent on the two I purchased. For me, the product was no different than a chap stick...at a much higher cost. It is a bit drying, too. I really wanted to like this "lipstick" and was encouraged to get it by reading the other reviews. Maybe I'm just an exception. Sadly, though, not for me.
