Good moisturizer for night - a bit heavier
I purchased this and a Avene moisturizer to test. I recently started Retin-a and was worried about peeling. The La Roche Posay lotion is a bit thicker/creamier so I usually use this one on the nights I use Retin-A. I have oily/combination skin, and so far I have had zero peeling and very little irritation. I’ve been using Retin-A and this lotion for a month now.

Effective moisturizer for tretinoin dryness
I use tretinoin and during the winter I develop dry, itchy and red patches (similar to tretinoin dermatitis) underneath my left eye and on top of my left eyelid. I was in search of a heavy-duty moisturizer, and after using this moisturizer the dermatitis patches are now gone. This moisturizer is good for the whole face, not just the dry patches. And don't let the size of the tube fool you - little goes a long way! My routine consists of a buffering method. I first apply a lightweight moisturizer, let that sink in and absorb for a few minutes, then apply the tretinoin over that, wait a few minutes, apply the Ciaplast Baume on top, and my final layer consists of an occlusive like Vaseline or Cerave Healing Ointment. I highly recommend this product!

This is the only product I use when my skin get irritated. It calms redness itchy and soothing my dry patch. It's thick but does not clog pores or break me out. I prefer to use it at night time since it make my face quite greasy with sunscreen in morning. A small tube lasts me 4 months.

I use this product as my moisturizer when I use adapalene. The product goes on well, and soaks in easily. I wake up with moisturized skin and no flaking or breakouts in response. However, it does leave a slight white tint for a while afterward. It doesn't bother me though since I only use it at night!

Feels very soothing and calming on the skin, I love it specially when the weather is very dry. I have super dry skin and use tretinoin and this product helps a lot with the drying and peeling. It does leave a thin white casty film on the skin, but it will dissipate after a couple of minutes. If you have oily skin I think you are going to feel that is very heavy. Definitely recommend it for irritated, dry sensitive skin.
