Dermatologist recommended! I use this at night following my Tretinoin, serums, and moisturizer to seal in those actives and really keep my skin hydrated. It is a dupe for “slugging” with Vaseline. Skin is so smooth in the morning.

My favorite !
This is my favorite affordable moisturizer. Consistency wise it is very thick and can leave a white cast. I use it as a night time moisturizer in the winter. Is is very occlusive and is wonderful when paired over hyaluronic acid.

I use this product every night on my lips. I use a mild liquid exfoliant first and then apply a "thick" amount of this balm. Lips are happy and remain happy the next morning.

This balm is an absolute life saver for my skin. I recently did a 5 day ski trip and this saved me for sure at the end of the day. I also get very dry eyelids and this is the only thing I can apply that doesn't burn and heals the area within days. It is a bit thick and does go on a little white and shiny, but it sinks in beautifully and will really heal skin overnight. A must have in my skincare routine year round. Love La Roche-Posay products in general and I'm never without this one.

Did nothing for my dry winter skin
Did I get a bad batch? I bought it because it was recommended by an aesthetician for my dry skin but this did not help at all. It's not hydrating nor calming for my chapped skin. The balm feels like it sits on top of my skin and do not sink in. I don't like the feel of this balm, either. While it is not really greasy, there is this oily feel even after rubbing it in for a while and because it stays on the skin instead of soaking in, that oily feeling stays. After using it every day for about 2 weeks, I can say this did not do one thing to help with dry skin. The only thing I liked about this is how thick it is. It looks like it would do something for dry skin. Too bad it doesn't.

Interesting Texture
The first thing I need to mention is the lack of a safety seal with LRP packaging. Meanwhile I can tell my item arrived brand new and untouched, the lack of a safety seal still creates safety and sanitation concerns! I love LRP products, I really hope they can improve on their packaging game! I've been wanting to try this balm since it gets really good reviews within the skincare online community. I have very dry skin with some sensitivity, I'm really prone to redness especially in the winter. This is effective in soothing dry itchiness, and it's VERY EFFECTIVE in reducing redness! The texture is quite interesting, with zinc in the formula it feels quite like applying physical sunscreen. It spreads out easily, it dries with a bit of white cast at first, but that will quickly disappear. More interestingly, it doesn't feel very moisturizing when you put it on, but it doesn't make your skin feel dry either. I went to bed with this as my last step in my skincare routine feeling somewhat skeptical, half expecting to wake up with dry skin in the morning. But I didn't lol, I woke up with very comfortable, calmed skin with no redness! So the verdict, if redness is your main skin concern, this is 100% the product for you! This reduces redness like a dream! But if you are like me and you have very, very, VERY dry skin, this product will still work for you but you will have to look for another source of moisturizer to use in combination with this.

Much needed for cold, dry weather

Just an Ok product
I think this is an ok dimethicone product for rashes or dry patches maybe. I think I misunderstood the usages before I purchased and that’s my fault. I thought it was a thick moisturizer for winter skin, but it actually made spots on my face dryer. I used it on my lips, and it did make them dryer and start to peel. I stopped using on my lips, and the peeling stopped. A plus I did find accidentally , was it works good for static in your hair!! I just rubbed a small amount on the palms of my hands and patted down the flyaways and it worked great!
