Great product for oily skin
I have used many different liquid foundations for my oily skin. All of them turned my face into an oil slick under an hour. Started using OC8 primer along with bare minerals matte powder foundation. What a difference! My face was not shiny for 8 hours. Holy grail makeup product for my oily Skin! Will buy again.

Only if you're oily!
My dermatologist recommended this after I complained about being SUPER oily (I'm a little confused about one thing she said–that it was supposed to have little beads that helped absorb the oil. That's not in this). This primer has worked at keeping the oil at bay the longest of any other I've tried (not the 8 hours they say). My skin is super oily, so I'm okay with it, but I think anybody that has normal or combination skin probably shouldn't use this. Definitely if you have dry skin DON'T USE THIS because I find it is drying, but that's fine because that's what I need! What I found to make my makeup last the longest was using this and then another brand mattifying primer (lauren Geller spackle) on top. I probably will continue to use this because as I said it keeps the oil away longer than anything else, just wish I got the 8 hours the product claims.

Everyday use
I have always had oily skin so have tried many mattifying products over the years. This one works really well for me. I like that it absorbs right in and leaves no white residue as some products do. I have sensitive skin and it doesn't make me itch or break me out. On humid days, (I live in Texas) I have to use blotting papers in about 4-5 hours. Dryer days, I can go a few hours longer. I definitely notice a difference if I don't use. You only need a small amount so the tube lasts a long time.

Anti-shine

Matte for very oily skin
This primer was recommended by my dermatologist for my oily skin skin because of the mattifying ingredients. This primer is nice because there is no silicones, oil or alcohol to cause more acne. This primer lasts me 4 hours and then the oil starts to show on the skin.

Only Mattifying Gel that Works
I have tried a few brands of mattifying products. OC8 is the only one that works. It keeps the skin looking matte although it is very oily when I blot. I need up to 3 applications a day though.

OC8 Mattifying Gel - Best Oil Control Mattifier!
I received a sample of this and didn’t think much of it until I decided to try it. Amazing! I am used to using mattifiers and primers with lots of silicone in them, and would still end up oily within an hour (I have super oily skin). I like that this does not have heavy silicones in it, and even though it lasts closer to 4 hours for me and not 8, that is a big improvement over the other products. It works well over my sunblock without pilling. A little goes a long way for me so this tube will last awhile.

I have very oily skin and it is my go to. It keeps my make up on all day. It keeps the oily skin away most days. I have not found a product that works as well as this one. I put my make up early in the morning and it is still there late at night. I could not ask for anything better.

I work in a dermatology office as a medical assistant and was amazed when I first sampled this product. My makeup stays on the entire day, and my skin feels hydrated–not greasy ever. Only primer I will ever use. I recommend applying product as instructed after thin layer of moisturizer, apply pea sized amount of the primer and allow 30 seconds to dry before makeup

Sadly didn’t work.
My dermatologist gave me Veltin to deal with my hormonal acne and while that worked beautifully for my skin it left me a oily mess. Having to use oil sheets every 2 Hours on a slicked up face was very discouraging, so I was then told to buy OC8. It was the first layer I applied after my water based toner to make sure it was effective, but nothing could help my case. I don’t recommend this product to those who are currently going through a prescription topical or oral medication that leads to a oily face. I also don’t think I’ll be good for those with a skin barrier that’s been compromised and with that said I’ll just have to deal or find another method sadly.
