Effective SPF

I have been using this product for over a year, maybe even 2 years now. Never ever ever have I gotten burned or even extra freckles (I can become a freckly girl in the summer). I agree with other reviewers that it is runny, but I think that is a benefit to the easy application process and that a little goes a long way. I have light to medium-light skin and the tone works well for me. The only negative that keeps it from begin a 5 star is that if you apply to the forehead and then wear a visor or hat, the product rubs off even after adequate time to dry. So, I just use "regular/clear" sun protection on my forehead to avoid that "yucky" on my hats.

Top sample from my dermatologist

I left my dermatologists office with a goody bag full of sunscreen samples Im an active senior/tennis player and need serious protection. The name brands were familiar. The active ingredients were basically two different classes of chemicals. At my followup, I mentioned the Skinceuticals the doc agreed it was the "most popular." This product had been out of stock, but a new shipment was priced at a discount, good. I like the coverage, the "universal" tint, the non-greasy "shmear" feel when applying--and hopefully the results into summer.

Great product, but might take some getting used to

Pros: First of all, this sunscreen doesnt break me out, and Im very acne prone. Secondly, it is tinted so there is no white-cast effect, which is pretty nice considering this is an SPF 50. Cons: It takes some getting used to because the formula is very thin, you have to shake the bottle (it sounds like there is a little bead inside or something to help with mixing), it smells a little funny straight out of the bottle, but I dont notice it after that. Since the formula is so thin I have to put a little on my fingers, spread that on my face, and then go back for more, whereas with other sunscreens you usually just but a dollop on your fingers and thats it. This makes it hard to tell how much you are putting on, so I hope Im getting enough coverage.
