Clearing my skin
I didn’t think that it mattered really what you wash your face with. I was using a popular and expensive face wash from the drugstore. I’m 70 years old and have rosacea and large pores which just seem to be plugging up and leaving blemishes all the time. Blackheads all over my nose especially. I started using skin Medica facial cleanser in the morning and SkinMedica Purifying Foaming WashIn the evening and from the very first day my pores cleaned out and my skin cleared up. I’m not near as read from the rosacea and the blemishes are few and far between.

Honestly I’m not gonna give it more than 2 stars, despite the “aura” around SkinMedica, because: 1) If doesn’t foam at all! 2) It kind of leaves the skin dry, especially if used several times a day! 3) The texture is a bit too thick!

Smells so clean!
I purchased this cleanser because my normal one is out of stock until December. I’m still a little on the fence about it, but it’s growing on me. You have to really work it in your hands before applying in order to get it to lather. If I don’t get a good lather, it doesn’t feel like it’s cleaning as well as I’d like. Otherwise, it seems to do a good job and I love the clean smell of it.

It's okay, cleans your skin
This product is nothing special- I used it with a pre-wash. I don't know why but I always get the taste of the product in my mouth. I have never had that happen before with other face washes. It has a terrible chemical taste. it takes a while for it to go away. I know of course you do not want facewash in your mouth but sometimes it happens and when you really scrub a little gets in the corner even when your mouth is closed. the container is also hard to use. especially when you get down to halfway- it is hard to get out. I love SkinMedica products but this one just isn't for me.

I like this foaming gel cleanser it doesn't dry my skin out and it cleans pretty well. The only areas I have issues with is if I wear liquid eyeliner with mascara as it always leaves some eye makeup behind. Typically I find I'm using another brand cleanser on my eyes and this cleanser on my face.
