Retinol .25
I have been using this all summer. I use it every other night. My skin has been fairly clear and some congested pores have opened up and cleared up. I have not had any issues with irritation at all. I had previously been using a lot of products (quality but extra strong) and my skin, which is combination, reacted with red irritated patches. So I backed off and began using a much milder combination and all irritation subsided while still helping my skin to remain clear and smooth. For reference, I am 69 and have enjoyed my time in the sun throughout my youth. I am moving up to the next level, and hopefully my skin will continue to tolerate and I will see continued improvement.

I've been using this for a few weeks now, and I cannot say I have noticed any difference. In one way, that's good because my sensitive skin hasn't had a reaction to it. On the other hand, my skin looks dull and a little dryer. I definitely will not be repurchasing it.

Gentle and Effective
I like this product very much I've used a drugstore retinol for a while and decided to upgrade to a better and stronger product. I had no issues transitioning. Very minimal peeling first couple of days, none now. It blends in smoothly, not sticky, layer my moisturizer on to of that after it dries. I really like this product and will continue to use.

Good retinol for starters
I used up a bottle of this retinol before moving to something stronger. Not sure if it gave me good results but didn’t break me out or irritated my skin. Good if you want something more mild or have sensitive skin.

Non drying, great for beginner users!
I started using this product once a week, and just moved up to using twice a week. This product is non drying and feels comfortable on your face. I can tell it’s working already but it’s minimal results as it’s only been a month. Using a pea size of product for face at night, after HA serum, then layering moisturizer after the retinol keeps your skin comfortable and reduces the retinol purge.

To be fair to skinmedica, I just don't think I can tolerate retinol, even attempting 1x a week at this low dose. I get breakouts and weird sores. Just irritates, even if I buffer it with some HAT or replenish. Really bummed about it so using it on my inner arms and belly area lol. Certainly don't want to waste it! I have extremely sensitive facial skin.

This is a very gentle retinol, my husband's dermatologist recommended he drop down to this one from a higher, more irritating strength in another brand. His skin is doing so well, and I have decided to use it too. Very non scented, no issues with pilling and does not burn my face or sensitize it.

Retinol with ease
SkinMedica's .25 has been an easy reintroduction after going off any type of complex for at least 6 months. I was apprehensive because it had been a short time since a severe sensitive skin reaction to another brand's product, but this was used without any problems. My skin is super reactive to various ingredients, especially fragrance, but SM causes zero problems. Will move up to .5 next go round.
