This product pills
This product is very easy to apply and feels very luxurious, but it does not absorb into my skin. If I go to put anything on top of it, sunscreen, foundation, whatever it pills miserably. I would love it if the formula could be changed.

Great Ingredients / Needs Reformulating
The active ingredients are excellent, but the formulation allows the product to sit on top of the skin. When sunscreen (or oil) is layered on top, the product pills.

I love skin medica skincare, but this product was a no go. Unfortunately it pulls on top of the tns serum. It feels like a smoothing primer, which is great for those that have textured and oily skin, but unfortunately will not be repurchasing.

Suspected cause of dermatitis
I used this on the past without issues. Earlier this week, I abruptly switched from a hyaluronic acid serum to this C+E product and shortly afterward, I had an uncomfortable case of dermatitis everywhere that I had applied this. I’m disappointed because I am a brand-buyer of Skinmedica. I guess this product - and perhaps vitamin C serum in general - is not right for me. For reference, I’m in my early 40s, my skin tends to be dry, and I tolerate retinol but break out from shea butter. I’ve never been wowed by vitamin C serums and I guess it is time to stop trying!

Allergic and irritation
I've used this serum for half month, seeing all good reviews on the website. However, during the half month, I found my skin have redness all daytime unless I washed my face during night. I stopped using it, the redness is gone. I'm pretty sure it's this serum caused the irritation. Although there're so many good reviews, it's not for me.

Easy to apply but skin irritating
Comparing this Vitamin C+E Complex to other brands, I found that SkinMedica's complex is easy to apply to the skin, but for me, it causes a burning sensation on my skin. I also found that it irritates my skin. I need to point out that I have sensitive skin, therefore for me, this product has 2 stars.

I prefer other Vitamin C products
I typically like the SkinMedica brands but did not like this product. Cons: I did not notice any improvement in my skin while using it. There was no brightening effect or lightening of mild discoloration. Furthermore, it leaves a velvety film on my face and fingers. You have to wait a few minutes after application before putting anything else on your face. Otherwise, the product pills. Pros: A little does go a long way so the bottle lasts awhile. While the product did not improve my skin, it did not cause adverse effects (i.e. breakouts) either. Overall, I did not like this product and will not purchase again. I will stick with other vitamin C products that give me better results.
