The product really delivers all the promises. It shows the difference how the skin looks within three days. The plant based exfoliators don’t irritate the skin, in contrast to retinol which often does. But I still use a good SPF on top of it in the morning. Once you tried this product I would recommend to supplement it at night with A+ Sunday Riley higher dosage of still plant derived retinoid serum. One can finish it with Luna Retinol Sleeping Night Oil. That will deepen exfoliation and it doesn’t have to be applied every night. Again it’s a gradual experience if you are new to Retinol. I am not new to Retinol, but I definitely prefer that plant derived exfoliation.

I have tried a lot of different skin care and brands and this product is a keeper. I have used Good Genes now for a couple of years pretty consistently and even have recommended it to friends in my age range (55-65). I know I get compliments on my skin when I use it! Softens the skin, gently de flakes (it seems like it reveals new skin underneath). It looks like it lightens some of my age spots too. It's a must have in my arsenal.

Soothing and clarifying
I have very sensitive skin, a bit of discoloration, and combo skin where I try to stay away from most physical and chemical exfoliants. Good Genes is perfect for me because it hydrates and gently exfoliates without causing any irritation. I use it at night and follow with a moisturizer, my skin is glowing by morning. I haven't tried other products so I don't know if this is true for all lactic acid products or Good Genes is really the deal but I'm fairly happy with my purchase.
