I love this lip balm. I forget to protect my lips with SPF but having this in my purse helps. I will say that it is minty and that was a surprise to me. It does leave a slight cast initially but it goes away once it is rubbed in and leaves a bit of a sheen. I would purchase again.

Good sun protection
I've used EltaMD sunscreen on my face and arms for years, and was excited to try this lip balm. I really appreciate the sun protection as I burn easily and the balm lasts quite a while. I think it does leave a little bit of a whitish cast to your lips when applying it, but it's sheer and doesn't bother me.

Great UV lip balm for outdoors
I use this lip balm when I surf in the blazing sun. Work really well, the only issue is the white color when you first put it on. Trick is to put on a thin layer and spread really well. Great product for the outdoors!

I have tried many different brands over the years. So many out there will turn your lips white. This has a very slight white cast but disappears quickly. Other sunscreens, no matter how careful you apply, you taste. This sunscreen does not have that effect.

Use it outside.
I use this outdoors when I spend the weekend at the lake. It keeps my lips from getting sunburnt, and doesn’t dry them out. At the end of the day they are fine after spending all day in the water, sun and wind. At first it feels a little weird and has an interesting taste but you get used to it.

I use a lot of EltaMD products as I love them all and they don’t cause irritation etc. I didn’t know they had a lip balm and my lips get burned easily. This says transparent, but it goes on white and kinda stays white, basically looks like a white lip gloss. Haven’t used at beach, just walking and it seems good. Doesn’t have that nasty taste some other lip balms do. Good deal to get 2 in the pack, one for purse, one for home. It also kinda comes out clumpy I thought maybe it was old but it’s not.
