Dermatologist recommended recently. So glad he did. Have had problems with sunburned lips for years. This new EltaMD Lip balm is the bomb. It gives great protection from the sun, but even better it is really moisturizing. Makes your dry lips feel great and it lasts a long time. Wish I had known about this years ago. I will be purchasing this from this point forward. It has saved my lips.

Outstanding protection for your lips
I suffer with actinic cheilitis on my lips due to sun damage in my youth. My dermatologist highly recommended all of the EltaMD products, but especially the Lip Balm to protect my lips from further sun damage. Many of us use sun screen on our face, but neglect to protect our lips. I now use it religiously whenever I am outdoors. It is an outstanding product and will protect your lips from the damaging rays of the sun.

Finally can protect my lips without white residue or bad taste. Goes on nicely and soaks right in. I like this product and will continue to use it. I think “lovely skin “ has found some great products. I am happy that I have found them. I also use their fix my skin cortisone product for my lips which are very dry, including just above lip line.

Great product
I used the previous formulation of this product for years, and I like this one better because it is has a smoother consistency and higher SPF. This product is non-irritating for me and provides good protection. It does have a slight white cast to it because of the zinc, but it's really not a big deal and does not stand out -- I'd have to use a gloppy amount of it for that to be an issue. Usually when products are reformulated they end up worse -- lower quality, fewer benefits, etc. Not so with this.

Dry lips begone!
I am an older woman living in a high altitude very dry environment. Using a lip balm is not an option. I tried was thrilled purchase the EltaMD balm. I have not found anything else on the market that keeps my lips soft, and protects from the high UV rays we experience at altitude. It is a MUST in my fight against dry sun damaged skin. I have shared this with friends that live outdoor lives in many parts of the country, and they all appreciate the benefits of the EltaMD lip balm, as do our partners (yes we still kiss at 70+).

This is the only worthy lip balm SPF I find good. the only downside is that it has an odd initial white color. It goes on kind of white and makes my lips look weird but it eventually absorbs and looks normal.

I love this! Perfect for keeping my lips from getting sunburnt... The only thing is that this is pure white and you have to rub your lips together to make the color to go away. Just a heads up! LOL. But I will for sure keep using it.

Is it worth it?
Not really sure if this is working. I've never worn lip SPF before, but I've never noticed anything off about my lips. I honestly feel like you could get a chapstick with SPF for much cheaper. Maybe save your money and pass on this Elta MD product.

Great lip protection
I honestly thought this would have a normal sunscreen feel to it. Which I don’t mind for sunscreen but thought i wouldn’t like on my lips. I was wrong this feel exactly like lip balm on. No weird texture. So important to protect your lips from the sun!
