Slight cast, overall very happy
Before this, I used the EltaMD UV Clear Broad-Spectrum SPF 46 which is clear when applied to the skin. The UV restore does leave a very light white cast, but after a few minutes, this melts into the skin and becomes a bit less apparent. I would still recommend using a skin tone powder, BB cream, CC cream, or something similar afterward to cover over the cast. I use a tinted moisturizer over this product, and think it looks good. Overall, I think this is a very nice product if you are looking for a mineral sunscreen.

Not sure about product
I find that this is a little dark for my skin. It also doesn’t cover the redness of my skin. I probably won’t buy again. It is probably ok for a darker skin tone than mine or if you need minimal coverage.

This lovely tinted moisturizer adds a subtle glow to the skin along with the SPF 40 protection. It is by far my favorite tinted moisturizer. I use 3 different ones to change off and I like them all for different reasons, but this is my fave!

Almost perfect
I've been using Eltamd daily uv sunscreen for years and want to use 100% mineral sunscreen. The texture of this sunscreen is perfect, not oily at all and hydrating for my dry spots. The only reason why I knocked one star off is for the tint. I find it's slightly too dark for my fair skin tone and a little hard to blend in around my hair line. I think I will get the untinted version from now on.

Finally, the perfect Sunscreen!
I received a free sample of the Elta MD UV Restore with my last order….and I am wondering where it’s been all of my life. I’ve used other, expensive, sunscreens in the past but they are no match. I have oily skin and MAJOR hyperpigmentation issues! The tint is just enough to dull the appearance of the dark spots, and my skin does not appear oily in a few hours. I mean it’s amazing how, even under my makeup, the oily mask didn’t shine through! I’m getting a full bottle now:)

Really good Sunscreen
I highly recommend any Elta MD sunscreens, but this seems to be the best one I have purchased. I was using another Elta MD sunscreen but it was too thick. I then received a sample of this UV Restore Broad Spectrum SPF 40 and I liked it sooo much better because it is not thick and it glides right on my face nice and smooth.

The Best Mineral Sunscreen
After trying lots of different mineral sunscreens, I am so happy to have found this one! I love it because I don't leave me with a white cast - even when I use the recommended amount - plus it leaves my skin feeling moisturized and looking dewy and glowy. (To be fair, I have fair skin and can't say whether or not this would leave a white cast on darker skin tones). I think two things help this one avoid the white cast for me: 1) while other mineral sunscreens feel like they dry out as soon as you get them on your skin so you can't rub them in, this one is very spreadable, and 2) even if I have some white spots when I rub it in, it dries clear. Highly recommend for people who are looking for a mineral sunscreen that avoids a white cast!
