(40 years old, fair skin, dog walker- in the southern Ca sun all day). I’ve been using the EltaMD UV Clear for years...that stuff is perfect. I use it on my face, neck, chest and shoulders. Tried this new sunscreen because it includes some other anti-aging components. It works great, but in comparison- it goes on with that white sunscreen sheen and is a little more thick to spread on than the UV Clear (that’s why I docked a star). If you can get past that, it’s a great sunscreen! Doesn’t cause me to break out. As far as the additional anti-aging stuff... who knows right?...kind of just have to trust them.

I love the feel of Elta MD UV Restore on my face, maybe a little too dewy but it’s bearable. The only bad thing is that it leaves too much of a white cast. I combined it with a tinted sunscreen and it really blends well. I think next time I will just get the tinted one.

I was expecting this to be similar, or better than, the EltaMD UV Elements Broad-Spectrum SPF 44 Tinted facial sunscreen that I had been using faithfully for years. It seemed to offer better benefits to aging skin. But oh no. This stuff is sticky, tacky, does not blend, makes your hand cramp up after you finally get it rubbed all the way in, and the tint is much more orange-y. Not only that, but I'm pretty sure this is the product that caused my eyelids/nose/sides of mouth to flake BADLY (I only apply sunscreen to my eyelids, nothing else). This was the only product I had introduced into my routine. I'm going to try and return it, if possible, or at least exchange it for the tried and true UV Elements SPF 44 Tinted. Wish me luck!

I was really eager to try this sunscreen because it checked off all my boxes: physical filters, great tint for warmer undertones, and not drying like many zinc oxide based sunscreens can be. I hater the way this felt on my face though. Goopy, and never felt like it ever really settled in and absorbed. Also, while I like a glowy finish, this veered a bit much into the greasy category. Lots of people like this and I don’t think it’s a terrible product. But I prefer more liquidy sunscreens.

I have used only EltaMD sunscreen products for the past seven years at the recommendation of my Dermatologist. When Elta released their new UV Restore product, I jumped in. It was a mistake. I primed the pump as required, which takes a bit of time, and either very little product was released or too much, making a mess. EltaMD UV Restore consistency is thick, and the product leaves a lasting ghostly glow on the skin. Besides, the cost of 2 oz. for this sunscreen is overpriced esp. with all the new mineral sunscreen options coming on the market. I will not be reordering.

I love this new sunscreen from EltaMD. I purchased the untinted version due to negative reviews about the tinted version. This is working perfectly for my fair skin; it blends very easily and smoothly and does not leave a white cast to my skin. I use one pump for my face and one for my neck and décolleté. It is not greasy. I like the high percentage of Zinc Oxide, which will provide excellent UVA/UVB protection. I only wear physical sunscreens anymore because they do not stain my bras and clothes like the chemical sunscreens do. I would recommend this sunscreen to a friend.

Most of EltaMD sunscreens feel heavy or kind of chalky. This product is lightweight and spreads easy. I wish it was a wee bit more matte. I don't think pale or fair skin tones can wear this due to the tint. I have dry, sensitive, and mild rosacea skin. I have a neutral medium skin tone and this tint works very well for me. New Favorite Sunscreen!
I've been searching for a non-waterproof tinted alternative to Elta MD Physical and Elements for my ultra sensitive skin. (My skin could not tolerate UV Clear.) The tint is good for my fair skin. Upon application, it is very shiny and takes about 15 minutes to settle onto my skin over EltaMD AM Therapy. My skin feels wonderful and hydrated after it settles in - more hydrated than UV Physical and less "heavy" than UV Elements. I will definitely be using this as my daily sunscreen and save the waterproof versions for outdoor activities. With continued use, I hope to benefit from restorative properties of this product. This was my first product purchased from LovelySkin and am very happy with the service.

I love other EltaMD products but I'm not a fan of this one, I wish I could return it. It's too thick so it's difficult to apply, and it leaves a white finish on your skin. I guess I'll use it when I work out outside, but definitely not as part of my regular morning ritual. I won't be buying it again.
