I have been using the entire Obagi line for 4 months now and I have reordered many Obagi products through LovelySkin. The Obagi Hydrate lotion is the first Obagi product I did not like. Way too thick, just a very thick consistency. My skin could not breathe with this stuff slathered on. I will not order again.

Big disappointment
I've used a couple other Obagi products with great success, but this one irritates my face as soon as it goes on. Check the ingredients and don't know which ingredient is bothersome, but my face gets red, blotchy, and burns a little immediately upon application.

I bought this moisturizer because I had ran out of my old one but I wanted to try a new one and after reading all of the positive reviews, I had to get my hands on it. Once I did though, I didn’t realize that this moisturizer was breaking me out really bad; it agitated my hormonal acne and I thought I was just having a really bad breakout because of the quarantine but I figured I would stop using it just one day to see if that was what was causing it and sure enough, about 85% of the little bumps/texture I had was gone. Won’t be purchasing again.

Allergic Reaction
Reading all the rave reviews and checking the ingredient list, I was hoping that this would be gentle enough for my dry and sensitive skin but shortly after applying a very minimal amount, I had an allergic reaction, including a rash and then hives all over my face and neck and head to toe itching. Since this episode, I wanted to be sure it was Obagi hydrate that indeed was to blame so I did a patch test on my left wrist which was proof positive that there is definitely something in this product that I need to avoid. Just wish I knew which ingredient that is.

Initially, I loved the feel of this product. However, after a couple of days of using it in the am and pm, it gave me a rash. I was so sad. It felt great on my skin, just not right for me. I called LovelySkin customer service, and a return and refund was no problem.
