Light Formulation that Absorbs Well
I used to use Skinceuticals C E Ferulic. I much prefer the Silymarin C Serum as it is feels lighter and does not leave a sticky or tacky feel after application. I’m prone to breakouts as well and so the salicylic acid in this formulation is a plus. I’m on my 2nd bottle and plan to use forever.

Great for acne-prone skin

It has a great finish on the skin and layers well with other products. I don't see a noticeable difference in brightness as compared to more dedicated vitamin C products, but it does an excellent job to help control my hormonal breakouts and oiliness. Skinceuticals finally created a product that fit the bill! CE Ferulic prompted breakouts for me and I was never quite sure about Phloretin. I feel safe with this product. SkinCeuticals Silymarin CF Vitamin C Serum
I use this product for blemishes and I'm using now on a scar from years old surgery. The scar is on my neck and I'm hoping this serum will make the scar less noticeable. It works fast on healing blemishes, I used on a deep blemish and while it took time, the blemish is gone. Because of the high cost of this product, I use sparingly but it doesn't take much product since it's a liquid. I dab a little on the end of my clean finger and spread over my skin. No irritation from using this product daily.

I purchased Silymarin CF Vitamin C serum when I was struggling with unprecedented acne due to layers of dry skin. I had been using an acne cleanser that was too drying for my skin. I didn't realize that I was the cause of the problem as I never really had acne. My skin looked like hormonal teenage skin. I did some research on what to use. I decided to go with SkinCeuticals brand as I have been a SC customer for a few years. The serum did a fantastic job! It was able to gradually slough the skin, bring the acne to the surface and heal the damage. It took time, about 2 months but that seemed quick considering how long I had been struggling with the acne. During that time I was using the serum every evening, which may be too strong for some people. But I covered it with another SC cream to combat potential drying. Now that my skin is smooth and acne free I have cut back and only use the serum a couple times a week for maintenance. My skin hasn't looked this smooth and bright in years. Whether you use every night or a couple times a week you won't be disappointed. I highly recommend the Silymarin CF Vitamin C serum.

This serum is great. It has definitely helped even up my skin tone, and reduce the acne. Be careful not to overuse it. It says to use 1-3 times day however, I found that if I use it 2x a day my skin kicks into overdrive and starts overproducing oil making my acne worse. For me using once day does the trick, and follow with the SkinCeuticals HA Intensifier which I LOVE.

Loved that it was a thinner consistency than the other Skinceuticals vitamin C serums. Worked well with keeping acne at bay and minimizing pores. Can get a little drying if used too often. My new favorite c serum

My skin tends to be more on the oily side rather than the dry side and I am 48. I don't have acne but I do get the occasional pimple and I have pores that i need to keep on top of. This product gives all of the benefits of the CE Ferulic but without the shiny skin. I have noticed that my skin looks so much better since switching and I just read that this product also has salicylic acid, which I didn't realize. This soaks into my skin really well and it doesn't smell as bad as its counter part. I will use this forever.
