Amazing for Acne-Prone Skin
I will receive a free full-sized SkinCeuticals Silymarin CF Serum for posting this review. Although this is still a relatively new product from SkinCeuticals, it has quickly become my new favorite Vitamin C serum! For those wondering about the differences between this serum and Phloretin CF and CE Ferulic (arguably the 2 of the most popular products from the SkinCeuticals line), Silymarin CF is specifically formulated for oily and acne-prone skin. The formulation in this serum is very similar to CE Ferulic (both contain 15% Vitamin C and .5% Ferulic Acid), but Silymarin CF also contains Salicylic Acid and Silymarin for added exfoliation and antioxidant protection. In the past, I've typically used CE Ferulic during the colder winter months and Phloretin CF during the warm summer months, but now, I've found Silymarin CF to be extremely effective for me year-round. I love pairing this product with the SkinCeuticals LHA Cleansing Gel and Blemish + Age Defense serum, and a sunscreen (I love the Physical Matte UV Defense SPF 50 for those with oily skin!). Silymarin CF is a bit pricey, but worth every penny - I highly recommend it!

Great on acne prone skin
This product really works for my acne prone skin! I noticed the breakouts are lessening. My skin feels smoother, appears brighter and less oily. Yes it is expensive, but for it’s worth every penny! I use it with the daily moisturizer in day and night time and alternate every other night with retinol.

Love all Skinceutical Vit C
I will receive a free full-sized SkinCeuticals Silymarin CF Serum for posting this review. I have used all the SC Vit C serums at some point over the last few years. I love them all and this is no exception. I know this is designed for those with oily skin, which I don't have. My skin is normal, but this did not dry me out as one might think. I don't necessarily think it worked any better than the Phyloretin CF. Definitely worth a try for oily and acne prone people.

Not good for my acne prone skin
This product was surprisingly sticky and left a strange residue on my skin. It did not improve my skin even with consistent use over months of time. I love SkinCeutical products and was very excited to try this, but it did not work for me. I recommend their more classic products such as the Age and Blemish Defense (it works amazing)! But please stay away from this odd, campfire smelling product. I only wish I had trusted the other reviews.

Great Vit C serum, although it does come with a smell. I would say that smell doesn't stop me from using it, because I know skinceuticals products are usually always A1. It's been great for my skin thus far, and goes on pretty easy. I would highly recommend this product, particularly for those with acne.

Worth every penny
I got a sample of this from LovelySkin and had low expectations for it working on my oily, acne-prone skin that is prone to congestion. However, the sample worked very well, so I went ahead and purchased the full bottle. I use it morning under SPF and makeup and at night, and I can honestly say that it helps with healing whiteheads and diminishing the size of cysts. I don't find that it works well with completely eliminating blackheads, but it does a great job of shrinking my pores so that those sebaceous filaments are not obvious. It dries well on my skin and doesn't leave my face oily, so it sits well under liquid foundation.

I had been using CE Ferulic for a long time and wanted to give this a try. I think it was a little drying for my cheeks so I now use it on my T zone area only. The consistency is more of a liquid vs serum. Nothing wrong with the product just not right for me.

Helps keep my skin clear!
I've had a history of terrible acne since I was a teen, and it had cleared up in adulthood until about a 1.5 years ago. At first, nothing worked until I tried the SkinCeuticals acne kit, which cleared my skin in a matter of weeks. As time went on, I noticed that some of the deeper, more stubborn pimples were beginning to resurface, bringing me back to square one. I bought this because LovelySkin sent me a sample- (yes LovelySkin your samples help- thanks). I suffer from adult acne even at my age- and didn't have it as a teen- I'm not really sure if this helped- I think so. I had no problems with sensitivity or dryness from it. Now that I have used the entire jar I am trying a different product to be able to judge the results of both of them.

Skinceuticals is my absolute holy grail for acne prevention and acne healing. A few drops of this daily keeps your skin crystal clear and beautiful. In the event that you do have some acne crop up, Skinceuticals Silymarin can usually completely heal it within a day. This product is expensive but so worth it--a nice investment in yourself and beautiful skin.
