Skin Ceuticals Silymarin
This is my first time using a Skin Ceuticals product. I had thought about purchasing the CE Ferulic Vitamin C, but the description didn’t fit my skin. I have oily skin and tend to breakout. Silymarin sounded good! I was correct! Skin is glowing from the Vitamin C. The small amount of salicylic acid keeps the oil at bay. My face is no longer shiny, but stays clear. I use every morning after cleansing than use my sunscreen. It is a great product for me!

While I love using SkinCeuticals’ C&E Ferulic during the cooler/drier months, it is too much during the So. CA summers. As a result, I started to use the Silymarin after receiving a generous sample from LovelySkin this past year and my combo skin loves it, especially on the chin area that secretes the most oil during hot/humid weather. As a rule, I do not need a moisturizer with it; only my eye cream, neck cream, and my sunscreen. Great product, and one that I may not have used if LS had not sent me this sample because the description implies that it is for acne-prone skin and I have quite good skin, even in my 70’s.

I have tried many different products during my lifetime for controlling my acne, and so far, this one is my favorite. It is the only one that has helped control my oily skin. I am noticing less shine, smaller pores, and a decrease in acne flare-ups. In addition, it has brightened my skin and I am able to use one product for both acne and brightness instead of two. I tried products that were less expensive, trying to save money, but so far nothing works as consistently as this one for me.

I have been using the original antioxidant, but I break out so badly on my chin all the time that I felt the need to use this version for my acne prone areas. I spot treat for my acne areas and use the original in the rest of my face. It's more work, but I have seen an improvement in my skin so it is worth it. I will buy this product again and again.

Best skincare product I have ever used
Silymarin is truly a miracle. I am 44, M, and have oily skin that is still prone to breakouts. Silymarin is more gentle on my skin that the CE Ferulic and even the CF Phloretin, with a pronounced anti-acne effect in addition to its anti-aging benefits. If I feel a breakout coming on, a dab of Silymarin will zap it more often than not. For general use, I apply ever morning. It's very slightly sticky but goes on easy and my skin feels very nice after applying it. Costs a small fortune but well worth it IMO.

Still undecided if I would respurchase
I think this is a good product. It definitely did help with breakouts. I do not like that the second ingredient is denatured alcohol. I did find the product a little irritating if I used it every day so I started using it every other day and that worked well. I have rosacea so I tend to react to vitamin C products. I'm going to try other vitamin C serums to see if I can get the benefits without using this product with so much SD alcohol.

Nice Addition to the SkinCeuticals line of serums
For years I have been religiously using SkinCeuticals Phloretin CF while awaiting an option that would address my extreme oiliness thus I was beyond thrilled to see Silymarin CF launch. I am on my second bottle and will continue because my skin looks really good but I'll be honest - the oiliness remains.
