Too Strong!
I love SkinCeuticals products and I use their 1.0 retinol on my face and décolleté along with a few of their other products. So, I had high hopes for this one to use on my neck. However, I’ve tried it several times and every time I’ve used it, it travels (as retinol does) onto my collarbone and leaves me not just irritated, itchy and red but actually looking burned and it takes almost a week to clear it up. I’ve been fine with using another brand I purchased here in the .5 version 2-3x weekly but I cannot use this even once a week regardless of how little I use or how high above my collar bone I apply it. I wish I had sent it back as I’m having to reorder my regular .5 for neck only and want to continue with their 1.0 for face and chest. It seemed promising when I first applied it and I thought it was tightening. Disappointed.

This Product Was disappointing
After using SkinCeuticals products for years and also recently attended a video discussion, I decided to try this product. I tried it on my arm the day before to make there were negative reactions. The directions say to use two pumps am and two pumps pm. I started with one pump am and pm. After 4 days, I started to notice a rash. I terminated my use. My neck rash spread, was flaming red and was painful. I have contacted LovelySkin as well as SkinCeuticals directly.

So I am on the fence with this product. Truth be told, I used it only short term because I had a few samples. The first few days I noticed a considerable difference in hydration. My neck appeared hydrated hence showing less lines. However after the first few days I didn't continue to see improvement. Granted I only used it for 3 weeks so it's unclear if over time if I would have seen great results. I didn't order full size for two reasons. One the price tag is extremely expensive and I noticed some pimples on my neck after a week of use.

I have used many products in my life and tried many brands. I never had a negative reaction until now. I like some SkinCeuticals but not this one. I broke out in an itchy rash on my neck. I stopped using it and then tried again-- another itchy rash. This is a very expensive product to purchase and I am very unhappy as I will end up throwing it away because I cannot use it.

I've been using a different brand of neck cream for quite awhile and I was ok with it. I did see a positive difference using it over time, but then I received a free sample of SkinCeutical neck cream in my last order from Lovelyskin. I started using the product and noticed a difference within a couple of days. My neck skin definitely looked younger & smoother. However by the 3rd day my neck was itching and burning. I immediately stopped using it. I called LovelySkin customer service and the rep was wonderful. She told me the retinol can cause a reaction and that I should try to use it every 3rd or 4th day. Since I liked the way it worked the first couple of days I am trying that. So far that seems to be working. I still have a week or so before I can return it for a refund in case the itching returns. But definitely recommend it if you can tolerate the retinol - it really made my skin much younger looking.

I am a long time user of Skinceuticals products and was excited to try the new neck repair cream. But BEWARE if you use this product because it contains lye (sodium hydroxide) and is very aggressive on the skin. It gave me a first degree burn requiring a a presciption steroid from a doctor to heal up. The burn left track marks across my neck and felt like a severe sunburn, which later peeled like a sunburn! I am all for a product that can help the neck, but not if it causes injury. This is a product laibility lawsuit waiting to happen. I am surprised there were no warnings on the packaging. I do not recommend this product!
