Too soon to tell
Rating the new HA5 four stars because Skin Medica is my favorite line at Lovely Skin. But I've only used it for nine nights. (Skipping am as my face can't handle more layers of hydrating and moisturizing products, actives and sunscreen in the day.) My main concern is whether my skin needs an HA specific product. HA's are listed in most of my products, including primer and foundation.

Very Similar to older version
So I reviewed the older version of this product and really like it. This version is very similar with a slightly different, less silky texture. I still like the product, and I have been using now for 10 days. I just noticed this morning, that about an hour after application, that my skin looked quite glowy and the texture of my skin was really nice and smooth. I'm 54 years old and I don't think this product is a cure for wrinkles...but I did see an improvement in tone, texture and my skin just looked a little heathier. This product hits the wallet pretty hard but keep in mind is the double the size (2 oz) of most HA serums. All you need is one pump to cover face and neck.

This HA makes a difference!
I've tried many HA's that seem to plump the skin temporarily- the effects don't last. This one moisterizes on a deeper level as well as plumps. I like that it comes in a 2 oz container so when comparing prices, keep this in mind.

I recently purchased the HA5 Hydra Collagen Replenish. I really love this product and will order again. It is very effective in keeping my skin moisturized throughout the day. I saw a difference on the first day of use. It absorbs well and provides a nice base for either tinted sunscreen or makeup.

I hope they don’t ever use this as a replacement for the other HA 5 . This did not work for me. It has a weird smell that is not pleasant. I had high hopes thinking it was an upgrade to the other one. But on first application it just did not show any results the next morning. Now the old HA 5 was great my face just drunk it in and looked fresh and dewy. This one makes my skin a bit red and irritated and looks dull and not tight and refreshed. I’ve been using it diligently but still no great results. I tried to like it but will continue using the older product until I can no longer get it just switch to another brand.

HA5 Hydra Collagen replaces their regular HA5
Minus one star because this is a new replacement product to SkinMedica’s regular HA5 that I have used for a few years and thus have not used it long enough to see if it is as least as good as the predecessor. Formula seems the same as far as viscosity and absorbency.

I love this product . I use it am and pm and in am just this product and sun screen and I'm good to go!! In pm this product maybe Retinol under then HA5 on top. My skin is looking really good!! If I do say so myself. Seriously people tell me I look 10 years younger then I am!

Very disappointed
This was supposed to hydrate for up to 48 hours. It just sat on top of my skin, doing nothing. If anything it made my skin drier. For such a high price I expected more. I intend to stick with a different brand.

I purchased this product thinking the results were going to be more superior than the SkinMedica HA5 Rejuvenating Hydrator -. I have to say the Rejuvenating Hydrator was a much better product. I will be returning to that product.
