This product is light and goes on smooth, I have only been using for about a month now, so I cannot give a 5 star due to lack of longevity however my skin does appear brighter and more lively! You may experience some peeling, but it feels like its stripping away old skin and bringing forth new healthy skin!

Gentle and effective Retinol
My dermatologist recommends a skin care regimen that includes a retinol product. I have had a hard time finding one that does not cause my skin to burn & flake until now. I started out using SkinMedica years ago when it just came out. My skin is sensitive, so I started with the .05 and moved up to 1.0. I live in a humid climate in the summer months, so I use the higher. But once in the Desert, I go back down to .05. Start slow, and I promise you will see results in time.

Not sure it''s working,
After reading other reviews, I decided to order the .5 instead of the 1.0. My skin has had no reaction on twice a week or even every other day, so I'm going to go to using it daily. I'm not sure how long it will take to work. I'm careful to use sunscreen.

.50 Strength Just Right!
I started using .50 Skin Medica Retinol a few years ago. So I decided to jump up to the 1.0 strength. It was too strong for me and my skin peeled too much. It did not make me red, or burn, just too much peeling. So I went back to the .50 which is just right!
