Halloween How-to: Rosie the Riveter

Make a statement this Halloween with a makeup look based on the feminist icon, Rosie the Riveter.

Apply your favorite foundation. Keep your skin matte by applying a translucent powder over the top.

Emphasize your brows with a dark brown eyebrow pencil. Keep your eyebrows slightly arched, like you mean business.

Next, apply a neutral eyeshadow to the entire lid with a fluffy brush. Then, apply a slightly darker eyeshadow to the crease to give your eyes depth.

Next, use a gel or liquid eyeliner to line your top lid. You can either keep it simple with a natural line, or you can add a little flair with a winged look. Finish your eyes with two coats of volumizing mascara.

Keep your cheeks rosy with a red cream blush. Pat the blush into the apples of your cheeks with your ring finger and blend well. Cream blush gives the skin a more natural, flushed look.

Finish off your makeup with a perfect red lip. First, line your lips with a waterproof red lip liner. Take your time – you don’t want to rush!

Fill in your lips with a matching red lipstick. Use a lip brush for easier application.

Fix any mistakes around your lips with concealer and a small brush.
